The birth of a baby is the embodiment of a miracle so marvellous you may want to share this infinite joy with everyone you know, or with an intimate group who will play a vital role in your child’s future.
Your ceremony will be an occasion built on what is a reflection of your values and wishes for your new little individual. It can be as significant as a Naming Ceremony or as simple as a Birth Blessing, and there is no correct age or time at which to have it.
You may want to have, or incorporate, a Welcome Ceremony for a not-so-new little person, or even an older child. There is no legal aspect involved so there are no rules around what you want to do.
Families come in many forms with so many different reasons for being … your celebration will be uniquely your story.

This is a heartfelt alternative to traditional christenings or baptisms, offering a non-religious way to celebrate your child’s arrival. There’s no “right” age or time to hold a Naming Day or Birth Blessing.
Your child can be a newborn, a toddler, or older.
There are no rules or legal requirements to follow so you have the freedom to be as personal and creative as you like. You might choose to appoint special figures in your child’s life—Guardians, Fairy Parents, Captains, or even a Saint Uncle or Aunt.
You can also incorporate rituals, readings, or symbolic gestures that are meaningful to your family. The possibilities are endless, and I’m happy to offer ideas to spark your inspiration or guide you through the process.

Naming Day Ceremonies are a perfect way to celebrate a change of name in later life, or welcome someone into your family.
Names are linked to identity, and increasingly people feel the need to assert & express an identity that is closer to their beliefs or a new situation. This could be because of a divorce, a transgender journey, or simply a need to be rid of a name you’ve been unhappy with all your life.
It is a wonderful opportunity to gather your friends, family & community to share in the joy of you beginning the rest of your life.
